The children of our parish pre-school came up to wish me a happy Christmas today, to sing me some songs and give me this lovely card, with a tiny, yellow hand-print on the front. And that was the highest point of my day.
Aside from the daily Mass, of course.
I haven't had many exciting moments since I arrived in Derby, thanks to the government response to the pestilence, but the best ones have been provided by the school. So if you live in Derby and don't know where to send your children, know that the best primary school in the area is sitting on the hill just here, off the Mill Hill lane. This is their website. You could do no better.
