I just found this marysdowry video on the YouTube. It's only about four minutes and is a short film on the English lady Anne Line, who was executed along with several priests of her acquaintance. Anglican ministers tried to make her give up the Faith, but she declared that she had been sentenced to die for harbouring a Catholic priest and that she wished that she could have entertained a thousand priests. She gave her life for the Church, and we love her for it.
As we hear people celebrating the failure of the so-called gunpowder plot of 1605 to destroy the government of the time, it's worth considering what made those misguided men so desperate when King James acquired the Crown and continued the policies of Queen Elisabeth's government against the Catholics.
